Angola Revokes Mandatory Certificate of Conformity for Export Procedures

Luanda: The Angolan Government has officially revoked the requirement for a Certificate of Conformity for Export and the Declaration of Authorization for the Export of Goods. This decision was announced on Thursday in Luanda, aiming to streamline the export process for businesses operating in the country.

According to Angola Press News Agency, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MINDCOM), through the National Directorate of Commerce, released a statement detailing this policy change. The revision is part of an effort to overhaul administrative procedures related to foreign trade operations. The primary objective is to facilitate trade by simplifying procedural steps, reducing operating costs, and enhancing the efficiency and competitiveness of national exports.

The press release from MINDCOM emphasizes that while these specific export requirements have been lifted, all other legal and regulatory obligations remain in force. This includes adherence to customs, sanitary, phytosanitary, safety, and inspection standards. The document underscores MINDCOM's commitment to modernizing foreign trade practices and reducing bureaucracy, aligning with international standards and national economic development goals.
