Cairo: Angola presented its main structural projects and investment opportunities in the transport and logistics, energy, water resources, agriculture, and urban development sectors during the Arab-African Conference on Investment in Water and Energy, in Cairo, which concluded this Wednesday. Representing Angola, advisors H©lio dos Santos, from the Directorate of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Elsa Bravo da Rosa, from the Angolan Embassy in Egypt, highlighted the country's potential and partnership opportunities in these sectors.
According to Angola Press News Agency, during the two-day meeting, diplomats also discussed economic diversification, energy transition, and regional connectivity, which are considered priorities for reducing dependence on oil and strengthening Angola's position as a logistics platform for Southern Africa. Held at the Cairo International Convention Center in Nasr City, the event gathered representatives from several African countries, including Libya, Namibia, Zambia, and Uganda, as well as Arab and African businesspeople and investors.
Angola's participation aimed to promote strategic partnerships, publicize projects with investment potential, and enhance economic cooperation with Egypt, within the framework of the Technical-Scientific, Technological, and Cultural Cooperation Agreement, signed in March 1987. The conference provided participants with contacts regarding financing, production, supply, and export opportunities for equipment and products related to the water and energy sectors.
The initiative was promoted by the International Federation of Arab Businessmen and Investors Abroad, an independent economic organization founded in 2015 that serves as a platform connecting the Arab market with international business and investment opportunities.
