Cangandala: The Provincial Delegation of the Angolan Bar Association (OAA) organized a free legal consultation session in the Municipality of Cangandala, focusing on making justice services more accessible to local communities and educating citizens about their legal rights and responsibilities.
According to Angola Press News Agency, the event saw the involvement of 20 lawyers who offered guidance on initiating legal proceedings, legal representation, and defending fundamental rights. This initiative benefitted dozens of people and underscored the OAA's dedication to fostering a deeper understanding of the nation's laws among the populace.
During the event's conclusion, Marcos Gabriel, the provincial delegate of the OAA, emphasized the importance of providing regular support to individuals facing difficulties in resolving issues within courts and justice bodies, especially for those lacking access to specialized advice and mediation.
Dilangue Baio Domingos, the municipal administrator of Cangandala, also advocated for the continuous presence of lawyers in the communities. He noted that such initiatives are crucial in bridging the gap in legal knowledge among citizens, promoting social justice, preventing the violation of constitutional rights, and facilitating access to legal protection mechanisms.
The province of Malanje currently has a total of 100 lawyers, comprising both permanent and trainee professionals.
