Kathmandu: Angola's ambassador to India, Clemente Camenha, on Monday in Kathmandu, presented his letter of credence, accrediting him as a non-resident ambassador to Nepal. During the ceremony, the Angolan diplomat met with Nepal's president, Ram Chandra Paudel, and delivered a message from Angolan President Joo Manuel Gon§alves Louren§o.
According to Angola Press News Agency, the message expressed the Angolan Head of State's interest in strengthening the friendship and cooperation between the two countries. This diplomatic gesture marks a significant step in fostering bilateral relations between Angola and Nepal.
Nepal, a multi-ethnic, multilingual, multi-religious, and multicultural state, is situated in South Asia in the Himalayan region. It shares borders with the Tibet Autonomous Region of China to the north and India to the south. The presentation of the letter of credence by Ambassador Clemente Camenha is an important move in establishing stronger ties between Angola and the South Asian nation.
In addition to his role in Nepal, Ambassador Clemente Camenha also represents Angola in the Republics of the Maldives and Sri Lanka, further extending Angola's diplomatic reach in the region.
