Angolan Artist Mussunda N’zombo Showcases Photographic Work at Berlin Art Week

Berlin: Angolan visual artist and performer Mussunda N'zombo is set to participate in the collective exhibition 'Global Fascisms', as part of the Berlin Art Week, from September 12 to December 7 this year in Berlin, Germany. The artist will present his photographic work, "The Impact 2", at this major European contemporary art event, which aims to highlight and promote Berlin's vibrant art scene, featuring galleries, exhibitions, and fairs. According to Angola Press News Agency, Mussunda N'zombo's work explores the impact of global political pacts on humanity. In a press release, he expressed his intent to engage in a multidisciplinary artistic exchange, sharing ideas and visions with fellow artists during the event. N'zombo emphasized the significance of Berlin Art Week as a crucial platform for contemporary art in Europe, showcasing international artists prominently in galleries and private collections. This year's Berlin Art Week, in its 14th edition, gathers representatives from over 100 institutions and art spaces. Last year, Mussunda N'zombo presented video art "O Cárcere Privado" (Private Prison) and the performance "Cicatrizes Urbanas/O Arquitecto Sem Tecto" (Urban Scars/The Homeless Architect) in Berlin, as part of the Goethe-Institut project at the festival "O Futuro Já Era" (The Future Is Now) held at the Zitadelle-ZAK Museum. Domingos de Menezes Miguel, known as Mussunda N'zombo, is an Angolan visual and performance artist renowned for his innovative approach and the creation of various heteronyms that enrich his artistic and cultural projects. He is also skilled in dance, fashion, film, and art installations, with a strong commitment to cultural activism.
