According to Angola Press News Agency, a press release from the organizers of the meeting, promoted annually by the London newspaper "Financial Times," clarifies that the meeting is under the motto "Africa in a Changing World" and will bring together African heads of state, policymakers, executives, investors, and new-generation entrepreneurs to discuss the continent's global role across three axes.

The event will feature a wide range of speakers, including the Chairman of the African Union Commission, Mahmoud Ali Youssouf; Ministers of International Relations and Cooperation of South Africa, Ronald Lamola; the Principal and Chief Innovation Officer of the Government of Sierra Leone, David Sengeh; the Chairman of Infinity Power, Mohamed Mansour; and the Senior Vice President for Africa of TotalEnergies, Mike Sangster.

The document also guarantees the participation of ministers and business leaders from Angola, South Africa, Nigeria, Egypt, Mauritius, Kenya, and Senegal. "The profound changes in US foreign policy during Donald Trump's second term, as well as the challenge to the established global trade order, pose challenges and uncertainties for Africa, in a context in which new powers are exerting influence," it reads.

From political reforms in Nigeria, Angola, and South Africa to advances in financial technology, artificial intelligence, and digital infrastructure, the 2025 edition will explore how African countries are embracing innovation and transforming their economies. The summit will also highlight the expected transition to renewable energy, industrial expansion, and the growing influence of youth entrepreneurship in promoting sustainable growth.

Sessions will be led by senior editors of the Financial Times, offering discussions on geopolitics, technology, energy, infrastructure, trade, investment, and finance. Held in London, the FT Africa Summit is considered an essential platform for fostering dialogue and creating connections between Africa and the world, offering direct access to international investors, development institutions, and a vast network of African and global stakeholders.
