Icolo e Bengo:The Angolan government aims to attract new national and international investors to boost its agricultural sector, as stated by the Minister of Agriculture and Forests, Isaac dos Anjos, during a visit to the Agritech Show Luanda 2026.
According to Angola Press News Agency, Minister dos Anjos emphasized the government's efforts to open markets to attract such investments. He made these comments at the end of a fact-finding visit to the agribusiness fair, which runs until Sunday at the Quiminha farm in the municipality of Cabiri.
The minister highlighted plans to explore new markets in Asia and the Middle East, which are expected to facilitate scaling up production. He mentioned that ongoing global conflicts could enable Angola to expand its large-scale production capabilities.
The presence of Portugal and Brazil at the Agritech Show was noted as a significant opportunity for collaboration and market expansion. The minister stressed the importance of digitalization and innovation in agriculture, which were showcased at the event, to inspire young people about modern agriculture's potential.
The AgriTech Show Luanda 2026 includes 60 companies and farms from Angola and abroad, offering discussions, conferences, machinery presentations, produce exhibitions, and production site visits.
