Angolan President Joo Louren§o Engages with Embraer’s Chairman

Luanda: Angolan Head of State Joo Louren§o received, on Monday in Luanda, the Chairman of the Executive Board of Embraer, Bosco Costa Jºnior, with whom he discussed matters related to the aviation sector. The meeting, held at the Presidential Palace, lasted about 30 minutes. At the end of the meeting, the head of the Brazilian multinational did not speak to the press.

According to Angola Press News Agency, Embraer is the leading aerospace company in Brazil and one of the largest aircraft manufacturers in the world, maintaining operations in more than 100 countries and holding a prominent position in the commercial, executive and defense aviation markets. Founded in 1969 and headquartered in So Jos© dos Campos, in the interior of So Paulo, the company employs more than 23,000 workers and has delivered more than 9,000 aircraft since its creation.

The company develops activities in four strategic segments: commercial aviation, executive aviation, defense and security, as well as services and support. In the commercial aviation sector, it produces the E-Jets and E2 family of regional jets, and is considered a world leader in the market for aircraft with a capacity of up to 150 passengers.

In executive aviation, it manufactures the Phenom and Praetor models, positioning itself among the world's leading manufacturers of business jets. In the field of defense and security, it stands out for the production of the KC-390 Millennium military transport aircraft and the A-29 Super Tucano light attack and advanced training aircraft, in addition to operating in the areas of surveillance, communications, naval systems, space and cybersecurity.

The Brazilian multinational has also strengthened its presence in Africa by supplying commercial, transport and defense aircraft to several countries on the continent. Among its most prominent products is the KC-390 Millennium, considered one of the company's main platforms for emerging markets. Embraer also provides maintenance, repair, and modernization services for aircraft, crew training, and logistical support, and is currently considered a global benchmark in the aerospace industry and one of the symbols of Brazilian technological development.
