Luanda: The 5th Edition of the Angola International Forum on Information and Communication Technologies (ANGOTIC-2025) commenced in Luanda, led by the minister of State for Economic Coordination, Jos© de Lima Massano. In his opening remarks, he emphasized the growth of the sector through various stages of policy, regulation, and training in both human resources and technology.
According to Angola Press News Agency, Angola has been making strides in the modernization of public services, expanding digital connectivity, providing technical training for young people, and creating an innovation-friendly ecosystem. This approach aims to leverage technology for the benefit of the population.
This year’s edition features 150 startups and 100 companies from both national and international backgrounds. Key topics include ‘connectivity’, ‘AI’, ‘digital DNA’, and ‘cybersecurity’, with a special focus on building trust in corporate environments.
Scheduled to run until Saturday, under the theme “50 years communicating, modernizing and developing Angola”, the event seeks to foster dialogue on present and future ICT issues. It also aims to facilitate networking among government entities, industry experts, exhibitors, and mobile service providers.
The forum, recognized as the country’s largest tech showcase, is organized by the Angolan Government through the Ministry of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Mass Media (MINTTICS). For two days, the event will concentrate on connectivity and ICT modernization, among other critical areas.
