Ba­a Farta Police Academy Trains Over Two Thousand Specialists in Five Years

Ba­a farta: Two thousand four hundred and eighty officers have been trained in various specialties by the Santana Andr© Pitra "Petroff" Police Academy, located in the municipality of Ba­a Farta, Benguela Province, over its five years of existence, ANGOP learned today, Monday.

According to Angola Press News Agency, these courses include professional police training for senior officers and junior officers, police education doctrine and management, police training in strategic objectives security, and police command and administration. Furthermore, professional police specialization training was provided in areas such as police operation planning, road safety management, criminal investigation techniques and tactics, and procedural instruction, police operational intelligence, customs post leadership, and trainer training.

According to the director of Acadepol, Commissioner Soba Quilulo, speaking to ANGOP, of the aforementioned number, 2,480 officers were trained in professional police specialization courses. He expressed his satisfaction with celebrating the five-year anniversary of the first body with this designation within the National Police doctrine, and considering the levels of training achieved throughout this period, ensuring highly qualified personnel for operational public security bodies.

Regarding the Academy's future challenges, the official stated that they will continue to focus on the professionalization of the National Police force in general, as well as work on expanding training areas to develop the professional training process. "We also have to help find timely solutions for public security and operational bodies, in addition to the need for speed and efficiency in the actions of PN personnel from a practical know-how perspective," he stated.

The commissioner expressed his intention to continue ensuring highly specialized and trained personnel capable of responding effectively to any situation involving disruptions to public order and security, as well as protecting public and private property.

Acadepol has a faculty of 70, a total of 330 staff members, and 11 classrooms, two laboratories (one for chemistry/biology and the other for physics), as well as two computer labs, dormitories, a medical center, a cafeteria, and other additional areas. Its patron is Santana Andr© Pitra "Petroff," the first commander of the Angolan National Police.
