Luanda: Internet banking services and card transactions on the Banco de Comércio e Indústria (BCI) ATM network are temporarily unavailable, according to a statement from the institution. The service disruption is attributed to a technical intervention in its system, with the bank emphasizing its commitment to restoring services as swiftly as possible. According to Angola Press News Agency, Banco de Comércio e Indústria is a private financial institution headquartered in Luanda, with branches spread across the nation. Since October 2021, BCI has been a part of the Carrinho business group, which has been involved in various sectors, including retail and logistics. The bank's integration into the Carrinho group marked a significant phase in its strategic growth and operational enhancement. The temporary service interruption has prompted BCI to assure its clientele of its proactive measures to address the issue. The bank has not specified an exact timeline for when services will be fully operational but has rea ssured customers of its ongoing efforts to resolve the technical challenges.
