Bié: One hundred and sixty-four tons of various products will be harvested this season at the Abílio Capanda farm in the municipality of Cuito, Bié, compared to 82 tons from the previous harvest. According to Angola Press News Agency, the information was provided by the farm's owner, Abílio Capanda. He emphasized that the increase was due to a ten million kwanza investment through financing from the Agrarian Development Support Fund (FADA) in March of this year. The amount was used to purchase fertilizers, production tools, and pesticides, contributing significantly to the increase in crop yields. Abílio Capanda listed corn, butter beans, soybeans, cowpeas, vegetables, and various fruits among the main crops. Given the demand, all production is being sold locally. He appealed to banks for more financing for agricultural projects to support the Executive's strategies to combat hunger and poverty. Currently covering 31 hectares, the Abílio Capanda farm provides 86 jobs, six direct and 80 indirect.
