Bi©: The governor of the central province of Bi©, Celeste Adolfo, urged the new local administrators to prioritize the improvement of basic sanitation and to engage more with the population to address socio-economic challenges.
According to Angola Press News Agency, the governor made these remarks during the swearing-in ceremony of newly appointed administrators under the new Political-Administrative Division. She called for creativity and solidarity in tackling issues that affect local families and emphasized the need for rigorous management of financial and human resources, particularly in the education and health sectors.
The ceremony saw ngela Ucueianga being sworn in as the new administrator of Cuito, with Ant³nio Jacob Mutali taking on the role for Catabola. Madalena Wanga da Silva was appointed for Cuemba, and Admaica Rod© da Silva for the municipality of Chicala. Other appointments included Jacinto Estanislau Alberto for Luando, Delfina Chemba Murrayn for Ringoma, Mariano Essuvo Chova David for Umpulo, and Paulino Jamba Essacalalo for CambSndua.
Further appointments included Alfredo Cussumba Vieira Capitango for Lºbia, Hermenegilda Nat©rcia Cristina for Mumbu©, Bernab© Sachipili Chimalanji for Belo-Horizonte, and Elisa Cambundo da Gra§a Segunda for Calucinga. With the introduction of the new political-administrative division, Bi© now encompasses 19 municipalities, an increase from the previous nine. These include Cuito, Chicala, CambSndua, Chitembo, Mumbw©, Cunhinga, Belo-Horizonte, Andulo, Calussinga, Catabola, Chipeta, Camacupa, Ringoma, Umpulo, Cuemba, Luando, Lºbia, and Chinguar.
