Bobo-dioulasso: On July 26, 2025, private television station Bf1 officially launched its tournament, called "Bf1 Foot," in Bobo-Dioulasso. This sports competition features 32 teams, including six from the Defense and Security Forces (FDS), with the aim of strengthening cohesion between the FDS and local populations. The opening match pitted the GBR team against the Traor© family. The latter largely dominated the match, winning by a score of 4 goals to 0. The tournament, which is being played on the Belle Ville district pitch, will run until September 6, 2025.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the president of the organizing committee, Justin Sotouo DABIR€š¬…¡¬‚¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬€š¬¦¡¬¦¡¬°, stated that this initiative aims to create a framework for exchange and fraternity, in a context marked by the fight against insecurity. "It's about promoting peace, living together, and collaboration between the FDS and civilians through sport," he said.
As a reminder, the National Gendarmerie holds the trophy won in the second edition. This third edition is already shaping up to be a hotly contested event, given the excitement surrounding the tournament.
