Luanda:The Council of Ministers convened under the leadership of President Joo Lourenço to discuss the 2025 State General Account along with other significant socio-economic legislative proposals. According to Angola Press News Agency, the 8th Ordinary Session of the Cabinet Council is evaluating various proposals related to mineral resources, oil and gas, health, education, environment, youth and sports, foreign relations, and culture. The meeting also includes an assessment of the draft summary from the 7th Ordinary Session of the Cabinet Council, which took place on August 28, 2026. Additionally, the agenda includes a review of a document from the Ministry of Finance outlining the State General Account for 2025. Specific proposals in the field of mineral resources, oil, and gas involve Draft Presidential Decrees. These decrees pertain to amendments to risk service contracts for the KON 2 and 16 oil exploration concession areas and an amendment to the Production Sharing Contract for the Block 17/06 conc ession area.
