Kigali: Angola was defeated by Egypt 29-41 on Thursday in the second round of Group B of the Africa Senior Men's Handball Championship, which runs until January 31 in Rwanda. At halftime, the Angolans were behind 13-18.
According to Angola Press News Agency, Omar Yahia of Egypt was named MVP of the match, which took place at the BK Arena in Kigali. In their opening match, Angola beat Uganda 37-21, while Egypt defeated Gabon 36-25. Today, in the same group, Gabon beat Uganda 33-16.
The competition takes its first break on Friday. On Saturday, the third and final round will be played, with Angola facing Gabon and Egypt facing Uganda.
