ELECTIONS 2022: João Lourenço announces works on Andulo-Mussende section

Cuito – MPLA presidential candidate João Lourenço announced Saturday in Cuito, Bié province, repair works on road between the municipalities of Andulo and Mussende, which connects the provinces of Bié and Cuanza Sul.

The MPLA leader, who was speaking at a mass rally, said the road to be rehabilitated can facilitate the connection between Bié and other provinces of the coast.

Lourenço added that if he wins the August 24 elections, he will rehabilitate the road linking Cunje and Andulo municipalities.

The MPLA president praised efforts made by local residents, stating that Bie province has improved thanks to public and people’s initiatives.

He referred to rehabilitation of tertiary and secondary roads, public lighting and bridges.

In the 2017 election, MPLA managed to elect three MPs to Parliament, for the provincial constituency of Bié, where 783,684 voters registered to cast ballots.
