FM discusses with EU ambassadors reality of partnership between Tunisia and EU and ways to strengthen it

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, Nabil Ammar, on Friday, met with the ambassadors of the European Union countries in Tunisia.

The meeting discussed the reality of the partnership between Tunisia and the European Union and ways to strengthen it in light of the Memorandum of Understanding on a strategic and comprehensive partnership signed in Tunisia on July 16.

According to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting, which took place at the residence of the Spanish ambassador to Tunisia, whose country currently holds the rotating presidency of the Council of the European Union, came within the framework of the regular meetings with the various regional groups of ambassadors accredited to Tunisia.

The meeting was a further opportunity to pay tribute to the excellent relations and partnership between Tunisia and the European Union and to underline the commitment of the parties to strengthen them in order to face common and unprecedented challenges.

The FM also exchanged views with the European ambassadors on regional and international developments of common interest, as well as on issues on the agenda of the forthcoming session of the UN General Assembly.
