Gala Match for Social Cohesion Draws Crowd in Bobo-Dioulasso

Bobo-dioulasso: Burkinabe international Sami Hien organized a gala match in his home neighborhood of Sector 22 of Bobo-Dioulasso, with the aim of promoting peace, forgiveness, and social cohesion.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the courtyard of the Accart Ville Ouest primary school, commonly known as Bassabo, welcomed a large crowd who came to watch the match between Sami's team, accompanied by goalkeeper Mohamed Zegu© and other players, and the Monaco team, made up of the neighborhood's elders.

The match was played over two 25-minute periods and ended in a victory for Sami's team (4-3). In a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, the referee humorously said: "Professionals must not lose, that's the rule of a gala match!"

After the match, Sami Hien stated: "A gala match is more than a sporting event; it is a vehicle for peace, living together, and fraternity. Through the game, the Burkinabe build the foundations of lasting social cohesion."
