Luanda: The Minister of State for Economic Coordination, Jos© de Lima Massano, has announced the formation of a working group tasked with producing comprehensive information to address issues raised by private real estate sector stakeholders in the country.
According to Angola Press News Agency, the executive secretary of the National Council of Public Works, Ant³nio Resende, communicated that the working group will have a 30-day period to conduct a survey and 90 days to present a report for further discussion. He highlighted the immediacy of some issues, particularly the interaction between the private and public sectors, emphasizing the need for support to resolve these challenges.
During the second Ordinary Meeting of the Plenary of the National Council of Public Works, real estate developers highlighted significant challenges, such as land legalization, encroachments, and infrastructure concerns, including water, energy, and accessibility.
Joana Pinheiro, representing Hemera Capital Partens, noted that the meeting was productive, with the Government showing readiness to engage and address the sector's difficulties. Gideoni Andr© from Proimoveis e Tecnogide advocated for the creation and approval of National Plans for Infrastructure, Requalification, Conservation, and Spatial Planning, suggesting these measures would aid the private sector in improving and meeting the demand for adequate housing.
