Gross credit to the non-financial sector set at Akz 4.70 billion

Luanda – The gross credit to the non-financial sector amounted to 4.70 billion Kwanzas in May this year, with a slight decrease of 93.6 billion (1,95%) compared to the same period of last year.

According to a notice released Monday from the Central Bank of Angola that ANGOP had access to, of the total amount made available 91,22% is related to the private sector debt (companies and individuals) and 8.78% public sector debt (administrations and public companies).

The non-financial public sector debt has a total of 412.5 billion kwanzas, of which 57,27% is for public administration and 42.73% for public companies.

The Central bank notice states that compared to the same period of the previous year, there was an increase of 5.73 billion kwanzas (1,41%).

Regarding the private sector, the indebtedness decreased at 99.38 billion kwanzas (2,27%) from 4.38 billion kwanzas in May 2021 to 4.28 billion kwanzas in May 2022, with the indebtedness of private companies reaching 3.45 billion kwanzas (1,15%).

Meanwhile, for individuals the debt amounted to 830.85 billion recording a decrease of AKZ 9.22 billion (6,65%).
