Luanda: The Minister of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Media, Mario Oliveira, recommended on Friday in Luanda, strengthening unity, training personnel and professional commitment to reinforce the National Radio of Angola (RNA). Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony of new members of the Board of Directors of the Angolan public broadcaster, the minister considered the body as strategic for national cohesion and the dissemination of the country's values and reality. According to Angola Press News Agency, the minister encouraged the new board to courageously face the challenges inherent in the mission entrusted to them, given the central role of the institution in the education of national citizens and in informing Angolans, being a fundamental instrument for the greatness of the Nation. Mario Oliveira emphasized that RNA's motto, "We unite the country," reflects the great responsibility towards Angolans, highlighting that the expansion and modernization of the signal throughout the national t erritory is a priority for the Angolan government. The minister clarified that modernization is not limited to the introduction of state-of-the-art technological equipment, and that it is essential to invest in the continuous training of staff and the modernity of content. "Technology only has an impact when it is accompanied by professionals who are prepared and committed to the national cause," he said. The minister appealed to professionals in the sector to put Angola above personal interests, stressing that the country's future depends on the collective effort and dedication of all.
