Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, Nabil Ammar, on Monday, led the Tunisian delegation to the work of the 2023 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Summit, held on the occasion of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
“The summit is part of the mid-term review of the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals. It aims to explore ways to accelerate the achievement of these goals,” according to a press release from the department.
A number of reasons, including the COVID-19 pandemic, wars and crises, have severely hampered the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, the same source said.
