Sfax: A working meeting was held on Tuesday at the headquarters of the Regional Union of Industry, Trade and Handicrafts (URICA) in Sfax, on the occasion of the visit of the Pakistani Ambassador to Tunisia, Javed Ahmed Umrani, to review the prospects and areas of possible cooperation between Tunisia and Pakistan. It was agreed to organise meetings between businessmen in preparation for the development of an action plan to establish partnership relations in order to benefit from the potential and expertise of both countries, particularly in the textile, clothing and leather sectors, as well as Tunisia's geographical location and its outreach to Europe, Africa and the Arab region. The Pakistani Ambassador to Tunisia underlined the importance of Sfax, as the capital of southern Tunisia, in laying solid foundations for this cooperation. He highlighted the role of the President of URICA in Sfax, Anouar Triki, as Honorary Consul of Pakistan in Sfax and Southern Tunisia. The working session was attended by membe rs of the Executive Committee of URICA in Sfax, the Director General of the Sfax Chamber of Commerce and Industry and some industrialists.
