Lusaka: The Association of African Diplomats (AAD) in Zambia commended Angola for its active diplomacy, emphasizing solidarity and strengthening relations among African nations. The acknowledgment took place during a meeting in Lusaka, where Angola's strategic advisory role was highlighted. According to Angola Press News Agency, the Angolan Embassy in Zambia released a statement noting that diplomats from Algeria, Botswana, Ghana, Kenya, Rwanda, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Sudan, Malawi, and Nigeria praised Angola's execution of the secretariat functions for the association. This recognition unfolded at a gathering led by Carlos Kapusso, advisor of the Political and Economic Sector, aimed at preparing for Africa Day celebrations and evaluating the financial status of the organization. The organization is chaired by Nigeria, with Angola serving as the secretariat and Tanzania as the treasurer. Its mission includes fostering cooperation, exchanging experiences, and promoting business opportunities among member states. Besides the countries already mentioned, members include Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo, Egypt, Libya, Morocco, Senegal, South Africa, and Somalia. The statement underlined that Angola's involvement in the association bolsters its diplomatic influence in the region and underscores its dedication to African integration and solidarity.
