President Joo Louren§o Calls for Greater Children’s Care and Protection

Luanda: President Joo Louren§o called on Monday for greater protection, care and attention to children, taking into account that their well-being is a guarantee for the future of humanity. In a message marking International Children's Day celebrated on June 1, the Head of State said the rights, interests and needs of children deserve the constant attention of public authorities, social organizations, charitable institutions, and families.

According to Angola Press News Agency, President Joo Louren§o defended that the ideal would be to treat every day of the year as Children's Day, so as to ensure that the younger generations receive the affection, dedication, and care they expect from their educators and guardians.

The Head of State emphasized that only children who grow up in a loving environment, with access to adequate healthcare, education, and training, will be able to play a significant role in the future, preserving the planet and improving people's living conditions.

The president highlighted that the country's public policies reflect the importance attached to children and reaffirmed his commitment to continue mobilizing efforts and resources to make children top priority. In his message, Joo Louren§o extended his best wishes for peace, joy, and prosperity to all children in Angola and around the world.
