The updating process of the electoral register, which kicked off last September 26, will continue till November 4, said President of Nabeul 1 regional election authority (French: IRIE) Chiraz Arfaoui. Eighty-five staff members - 19 permanent and 66 mobile, were tasked with updating the electoral register ahead of local elections, she told TAP. Voting in the region will take place in 58 electoral districts in 55 communities - part of the following nine delegations, namely Haouria, Kélibia, Hamam Ghezaz, Menzel Temim, El Mida, Korba, Dar Chaabane Fehri, Béni Khiar and Nabeul. The updating process is being carried out through direct contact with citizens, the distribution of leaflets and the organisation of awareness campaigns in industrial and rural areas. The aim is to check voter data, including polling centres and the new electoral districts to which they belong. Nabeul 1 includes 9 delegations, 55 imadas and 157 polling centres where 377,000 voters are due to cast their ballots.
