Uge: The provincial governor of Uge, Jos© Carvalho da Rocha, has reinforced the call for citizens in the province to update their voter registration data to participate in the 2027 general elections. The governor emphasized the importance of this civic duty on the sidelines of the inauguration of metal bridges over the Longe and Lomba rivers in the municipality of Songo.
According to Angola Press News Agency, Jos© Carvalho da Rocha stressed the significance of every citizen of voting age taking action to ensure their voter registration details are current. He urged individuals to begin updating their information immediately. The governor expressed concern that many eligible voters in the province have yet to update their data and encouraged them to visit the One-Stop Public Service Counters (BUAP) to complete this process.
The ongoing national voter registration data update campaign will continue until 31 March 2027. All citizens aged 18 and over are required to confirm their electoral details to be eligible to vote in the 2027 general elections.
