Police chief defends respect for human dignity

Cuito – The commander-general of National Police, Arnaldo Carlos, appealed this Monday in Cuito (BiĆ©) to the members of the corporation to work with ethics, civism and responsibility in order to preserve human dignity.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the training course for 251 officers of the corporation, the senior National Police officer said that the officers of the various organs of the institution should act based on the law in order to consolidate the democratic rule of law.

He recalled that the National Police has the mission to ensure and defend the democratic legality, guarantee the security and exercise the fundamental rights and freedoms of citizens, as well as maintain the order and public tranquillity, under the terms of the Constitution of the Republic.

In this sense, he urged the population to contribute to the security of the communities, through the denunciation of criminal acts and the hiding places of criminals.

With a three-month duration, during the training action, topics related to police techniques, confrontation and self-defence, interpersonal communication, conflict management, among others.
