Angolan Ambassador Presents Letters of Credence to King Mohammed VI

Rabat: The Angolan ambassador to the Kingdom of Morocco, Jos© Filipe, presented his Letters of Credence to King Mohammed VI on Thursday, enabling him to serve as Angolan diplomatic representative in that North African country.

According to Angola Press News Agency, press release from the Angolan diplomatic representation in Morocco sent to ANGOP this Friday, the ceremony is associated with the purpose of expanding the mechanisms for rapprochement between Angola and Morocco, with emphasis on the political, economic, cultural, and African coordination domains in matters of common interest.

The document indicates that the accreditation of the diplomat occurs at a time when Angolan foreign policy is paying particular attention to the transformations underway on the African continent and seeks to strengthen the country's presence in spaces considered strategic for deepening political dialogue and cooperation between African states.

Appointed by the President of the Republic, Joo Louren§o, in February 2025, Jos© Filipe previously served as Angola's ambassador to Hungary, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and North Macedonia, in the latter two countries with non-resident status.
