Luanda: Angolan Foreign Minister T©te Ant³nio highlighted, on Friday, the evolution of the country's foreign policy and the strategies to strengthen its presence in the regional and international arenas. These points were raised during an interview with *Fortune* magazine, conducted by the publication's international director and official representative, Frida Torres, at the headquarters of Angola's Foreign Ministry, in Luanda. The conversation covered topics related to the strategic priorities of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MIREX), bilateral relations, and multilateral cooperation.
According to Angola Press News Agency, the minister discussed Angola's role in promoting peace, stability, and international cooperation, as well as initiatives to expand the country's influence in key multilateral forums. In the economic sphere, T©te Ant³nio emphasized the importance of economic diplomacy as a tool for sustainable development, noting ongoing efforts to attract foreign investment, promote national exports, and showcase business opportunities through diplomatic missions.
The minister also addressed the sustainability agenda-highlighting Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles-as well as international cooperation to combat climate change, the protection of Angolan citizens abroad, and the strengthening of institutional transparency. Regarding African regional integration, T©te Ant³nio underscored Angola's contributions within the Southern African Development Community (SADC), the African Union, and other international bodies, as well as the importance of South-South cooperation for sustainable development.
During the interview, he reaffirmed the Angolan government's commitment to a foreign policy aimed at boosting the country's international profile, attracting investment, and deepening international partnerships.
