The South Korean company "Yura Corporation", specializing in the production of car parts is seeking t expand its activities in Tunisia, said CEO of the Tunisian subsidiary of Yura Corporation, Kim JONG GU, according to a press release published, Monday, by the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency (FIPA) In a meeting held in Tunis with Director General of FIPA -Tunisia, Jalel Tebib, JONG GU underlined that this extension project will be carried out via a cable production unit dedicated mainly to the car industry as well as mobility systems. This new unit, which covers an estimated area of 13,000 m², will help hire 2,000 to 6,000 employees. The General Director of FIPA-Tunisia promised to provide investors with all the assistance needed to launch this ambitious project, particularly with location and the search for a suitable premises. Established in Kairouan since November 2007, YURA CORPORATION Tunisia specializes in the manufacturing of wires, insulated harnesses and cable harnesses and employs over 2,00 0 people. «This expansion project makes Tunisia a favorable destination for international operators active in the automotive components sector,» the FIPA said.
