Luanda: The Secretary of State for Public Administration, Domingos Filipe, reaffirmed on Wednesday the government's commitment to qualifying human capital as a fundamental pillar for the country's socio-economic development. Speaking at the opening of the third Technical-Scientific Vocational Training Conference, organized by the National Institute for Employment and Vocational Training (INEFOP), he renewed the government's commitment to Angola's inclusive and sustainable development through quality vocational training.
According to Angola Press News Agency, the official considered tourism to be a cross-cutting industry capable of generating jobs, attracting investment, enhancing cultural heritage, and boosting the national economy. The event is taking place under the motto 'Tourism - Green Oil, Driving the Country Towards Economic Diversification'.
Domingos Filipe highlighted that this sector's potential requires the vocational training system to be prepared to respond to new market demands by producing innovative professionals committed to excellence. He further explained that the conference has been created as a space for technical dialogue, strategic reflection, and the collective development of solutions, bringing together trainers, managers, entrepreneurs, public and private institutions, associations, and others.
Since 2023, the National Institute of Employment and Vocational Training has held scientific conferences to promote technical thinking, strategic discussion, and the exchange of best practices in vocational training. This year's edition marks a step forward in the national professional training strategy, aligning it with the National Development Plan (PDN) for 2023-2027, which defines qualifications as a key part of its inclusive and sustainable growth policy.
