Interior Minister Kamel Feki, accompanied by a delegation of senior Ministry officials, visited the State of Qatar on Wednesday to attend the graduation ceremony of the sixth batch of student candidates of the Police College.
Minister Feki held a meeting with his Qatari counterpart Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, said a Ministry statement. The meeting addressed bilateral cooperative relations and programmes of mutual interest in the security fields, as well as ways to support and develop them.
Following the meeting, the Interior Minister and his accompanying delegation visited the Security Command Centre of the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023, which is being held from January 12 to February 10.
They reviewed the progress of work, the outlined security plans, and the coordination and communication mechanisms among various security, military, and civilian agencies to ensure the safety and security of participants in the Asian soccer tournament.
