PM Hachani presides over meeting of Steering Committee for audit of recruitment in public service

Prime Minister Ahmed Hachani chaired a meeting of the steering committee for the audit of recruitment in the public service between January 14, 2011 and July 25, 2021, at the Government Palace in the Kasbah on Monday.

The audit, which is intended to be “comprehensive and global”, will cover not only recruitment, but also integration into the civil service, state institutions and enterprises, as well as public structures and other public entities.

According to a press release issued by the Prime Ministry, the meeting was held in application of the provisions of Decree no. 591 of 2023 of September 21, 2023.

During a meeting with the Prime Minister at the Carthage Palace Thursday, President Kaïs Saïed urged the committees responsible for exercising full and complete audit of the recruitment and integration processes to begin their missions as soon as possible in order to “cleanse the administration of illegally recruited staff”.

On September 21, while presiding over the Cabinet meeting, President Saïed announced that a draft decree would be examined with a view to carrying out a full and comprehensive audit of integration and recruitment operations in the civil service and state institutions and enterprises since January 2011.

He also announced the publication of a draft decree amending the text of Decree no. 1245 of 24 April 2006, which establishes the system for the assignment and withdrawal of duties within the central administration.
