UNITA MPs Assess Socio-Economic Conditions in Moxico Province

Luena: UNITA's Members of Parliament are actively examining the socio-economic conditions across the 12 municipalities of Moxico province. This initiative is part of the party's 13th Parliamentary Conference, which is currently being held in the region.

According to Angola Press News Agency, the MPs have visited several key locations, including Luena, Lucusse, Cangumbe, Ninda, Camanongue, Lumbala Nguimbo, Lutuai, Lutembo, and L©ua. The inspection is set to conclude on Tuesday with visits to Chume, Alto Cuito, and Cangamba. During these visits, the MPs have engaged with local residents, traditional leaders, civil society organizations, and economic agents to understand the pressing social, economic, and administrative challenges faced by these communities.

The program outlines that the parliamentarians, who are divided into 12 groups, aim to also promote UNITA's government project for the upcoming 2027 elections. Following the completion of their assessment, the MPs will participate in a national ceremony to commemorate UNITA's 60th anniversary, which will be led by the party president, Adalberto Costa Jºnior.

UNITA was established on March 13, 1966, in Muangai, located in the Lutuai municipality of Moxico province, by its founder Jonas Savimbi.
