Luanda: Kabuscorp do Palanca moved up to 5th place in the Girabola 2025/2026, after beating Desportivo da Lunda-Sul 3-0 on Sunday, in the closing match of the 20th round of the competition.
According to Angola Press News Agency, Kabuscorp started the game with a greater desire to score, with well-structured attacking plays, against a Desportivo da Lunda-Sul side that was limited to defending with a certain passivity. In the 11th minute, Bayala provided a beautiful assist for Paquet¡, who scored the first goal of the match. After the goal, the match continued with Kabuscorp dictating the pace of the game, giving Desportivo no chance to reach their last defensive line.
In the second half, Kabuscorp regained control of the game, creating numerous difficulties for the Lunda defense, which at times showed a lack of concentration. In the 50th minute, Bayala won a penalty and Benarfa made it 2-0 for Kabuscorp do Palanca. Kabuscorp's coach, Leo Neiva, who made his Girabola debut, made some substitutions, bringing on Geuda and another player, which energized the team's attacking actions. In the 84th minute, after a persistent play, Chrismar made it 3-0, the final score of the match.
Kabuscorp now has 29 points, in 5th position, and Desportivo da Lunda-Sul has 25, placing them 9th. The competition is led by Petro de Luanda with 52 points, followed by Wiliete de Benguela with 43 points and 1º de Agosto with 42 points.
