According to Angola Press News Agency, the event runs until Sunday under the motto "The Banana as a Factor in the Development of Agriculture in Bengo" and features the participation of more than 350 exhibitors from the region and other provinces. The organization aims to reach 200 million Kwanzas in business volume in this edition, surpassing the 159 million Kz of the previous edition.

At the opening, Governor Maria Nelumba emphasized that Bengo province has established itself as the main banana producer in the country. She highlighted the focus on increasing production, improving agricultural techniques, and organizing cooperatives to enhance competitiveness among producers.

She expressed satisfaction with the significant increase in the quantity of bananas sold at the fair, which demonstrates greater production and productivity, especially among family farmers. This increase has positive repercussions, providing financial resources for new investments, mitigating unemployment, and contributing to the fight against hunger and poverty.

Established by the Bengo Provincial Government in 2012, the Banana Fair (Feiba) has become the largest business exchange in the province. The fair serves as a platform for exhibiting and marketing agricultural production from Bengo and other provinces, with a focus on bananas and production factors such as agricultural machinery and equipment involved in the production chain.
