AIPEX Reaffirms Commitment to Attracting Private Investment

Luanda: The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Agency for Private Investment and Export Promotion (AIPEX), Arlindo das Chagas Rangel, reaffirmed on Thursday the institution's commitment to simplifying procedures and continuously improving the business environment in Angola. Speaking at the AIPEX Awards 2026 Gala in Luanda, the executive highlighted that the agency will continue to focus on modernizing services, reducing bureaucracy, and promoting transparency, with the aim of facilitating private investment attraction and boosting exports of national products.

According to Angola Press News Agency, the AIPEX Chairman emphasized that investing in Angola should become increasingly simple and that exporting Angolan products to the world should become increasingly easy. He underscored that the private sector is an "indispensable partner" in building a strong, diversified, and sustainable economy.

Arlindo das Chagas Rangel noted that the event aims to recognize the merit, excellence, and impact of projects that actively contribute to national economic development, while also encouraging high standards of competitiveness, innovation, and social responsibility. The official provided a historical overview, highlighting that the current investment promotion model is the result of an institutional evolution that began in 1989 with the creation of the Foreign Investment Office (GIE); this evolved successively through the IIE, ANIP, UTIP, and APIEX, eventually culminating in the current AIPEX organizational structure.

The AIPEX Awards 2026 Gala was attended by members of the Executive, business leaders, investors, and social partners.
