Cabinda Governor Reopens Health Center in Subantando Village

Cabinda: The Subantando Village Health Center, featuring eight beds, was reopened on Wednesday in the municipality of Liambo by Suzana Abreu, the governor of Angola's northern province of Cabinda.

According to Angola Press News Agency, the health center was rehabilitated and expanded as part of an agricultural value chain development project. The facility now includes emergency services, an observation room, a delivery and postpartum room, a doctor's office, wards, a pharmacy, and a laundry, among other amenities. The center will be staffed by 33 health technicians working in shifts to ensure continuous service.

During the reopening ceremony, Suzana de Abreu, the provincial governor of Cabinda, was joined by the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, Isaac dos Anjos. She emphasized that the upgraded infrastructure would bring essential health services closer to the local population. Abreu also reaffirmed the government's dedication to enhancing public health services and other social sectors in the province.

The event also featured the distribution of medicines, an ambulance, and motorcycles, marking a significant step in improving healthcare accessibility for the community.
