ENS/Cuv©e 2025: 2090 Trainees Graduate Under the Banner of Education and Sovereignty

Ouagadougou: The Ecole Normale Sup©rieure (ENS) marked a major event this Saturday with the official graduation ceremony of 2,090 trainees, with the baptismal name 'Education and Sovereignty'.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the 750 amphitheater of Norbert Zongo University served as the setting for this celebration, held under the high patronage of Bassolma Bazi©, president of the national commission of the Confederation of the Alliance of Sahel States, in the presence of several members of the government sponsoring the event. There are 2,090 trainees ready to go into the field of education to play their part, through different bodies, namely teaching staff, supervisory staff, school life leaders, academic and professional guidance staff.

This was stated by their delegate, Barth©l©my Kagambega, who also reaffirmed their determination to serve the nation, regardless of their location: "Wherever we are assigned, regardless of the conditions, we will remain educators committed to the future of our dear homeland, Burkina Faso." He also presented crucial demands, including the effective mandate of all new teachers from next October and the assignment of professionals to their chosen areas.

ENS Director General Professor Ousseni So expressed his satisfaction with the overall success rate, reaching 98.63%. He attributed this achievement to the mobilization and commitment of all the school's stakeholders.

The ceremony's director, Bassolma Bazi©, praised the government's commitment to youth training and urged the trainees to fully embody the values of their class. "We are in a period of struggle to regain our sovereignty. This requires sacrifice, integrity, and a strong patriotic commitment," he emphasized, stressing the importance of their role in this national dynamic.

The sponsors' representative, the Minister of Public Service, Mathias Traor©, urged the trainees to banish absenteeism, mediocrity and corruption, while expressing his best wishes for their careers: "We hope that you will be passionate, innovative and resilient civil servants in the face of challenges, patriotic, exemplary and available civil servants."

The ceremony was punctuated by significant moments, including the presentation of certificates, envelopes, and computers to the most deserving trainees. Artistic performances also enlivened the event, adding a festive touch. Words of encouragement were offered to the new government employees, who are expected to make an active and significant contribution to the Burkinabe education system.

It should be noted that the ceremony also benefited from the presence of Professor Adjima Thiombiano, Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, as president of the ceremony. He was delighted with the performance of the ENS and the commitment of the trainees to quality education in Burkina Faso. Co-sponsorship was provided by the Minister of Civil Service, Mathias Traor©, the Minister of Basic Education, Jacques Sosth¨ne Dingara, and the Minister of Secondary Education, Professor Boubacar Savadogo.

There is also the presence of eminent personalities including the Minister in charge of Justice and guest of honor, Mr. Edasso Rodrigue Bayala, as well as the governor of the Nando region.
