Tunis: Minister of the Interior Kamel Feki, escorted by a number of senior officials from the Ministry, made a field visit to the governorate of Beja, where he was briefed about the working conditions of the various units of the National Security, the National Guard, and the Civil Protection. The minister visited various checkpoints in the region and inspected the permanent and mobile patrols as well as their degree of readiness to ensuring public security and protecting public and private properties. The Minister also listened to the concerns of the security forces, calling them to increase operations in order to combat serious crimes including smuggling, drugs, violence, and irregular migration, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Interior.
