Luanda: The National Assembly is holding its 2nd Extraordinary Plenary Meeting of the 4th Legislative Session on Thursday and Friday, focusing on reviewing and voting on important bills related to taxation, the financial system, public health, and data protection.
According to Angola Press News Agency, the agenda includes final overall votes on significant legislative proposals, such as the Draft Law on the Personal Income Tax Code, the Draft Law on the Legal Regime of Collaborative Financing, and amendments to the Law on the Prevention and Combating of Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing, and the Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction.
Additionally, deputies are set to consider draft laws that propose amendments to the Law on the Protection of Personal Data and the Law on the Financing of Political Parties. The Draft Law on Civil and Criminal Identification is also slated for discussion.
The Assembly will analyze the Balance Sheet Report on the Execution of the General State Budget for the fourth quarter of 2025. Furthermore, the review of international legal instruments will emphasize the agreement on the conservation and sustainable use of marine biodiversity in areas beyond national jurisdiction.
Parliamentarians will deliberate on requests for authorization to adopt minors, address internal matters related to the National Assembly's budget execution, and discuss the creation of the "November 26" Parliamentary Studies Prize. The session will commence with the movement of deputies and the review of the Journal of the 1st Extraordinary Plenary Meeting of the current legislative session.
