Malanje: A team of consultants and researchers from Scientific African Support arrived Thursday in Malanje to evaluate the condition of three Organic Units' laboratories at Queen Njinga a Mbande University (URNM). This evaluation is part of the Academic Ecosystem Strengthening Project (FEA), which is being implemented at the institution.
According to Angola Press News Agency, the visit is part of the process of data collection, internal consultation, and evaluation of the operating conditions of the laboratories and their respective equipment. The delegation held a consultation meeting with URNM rector Eduardo Ekundi Valentim, members of the Rectoral College, and professors and researchers from the Faculty of Medicine.
The team conducted technical visits to the Faculty of Medicine laboratories, where they surveyed the state of conservation, functionality, and needs of the existing equipment. On Friday, the team conducted activities in the laboratories of the Polytechnic Institute and the Institute of Agro-Food Technology, diagnosing operational conditions and assessing the state of the available equipment.
According to the note, the intervention in the university's three organic units primarily aims to collect technical and operational information to serve as a basis for equipping, upgrading, and modernizing the laboratories, as well as improving laboratory services continuously. This initiative reinforces Queen Njinga a Mbande University's commitment to quality teaching, scientific research, and innovation, aligning with institutional efforts to modernize and strengthen the academic ecosystem.
