Tenado: Tenado vibrated to the rhythm of recognition of educational excellence, with significant events on July 24 and 25, 2025, AIB noted. These days highlighted exceptional academic achievements and, at the same time, outlined future prospects for the town's youth. This Friday, the town's academic excellence was the highlight of these celebrations, magnifying the merit of the key players in education in Tenado.
According to Burkina Information Agency, during the ceremony, the head of the Tenado basic education district, Lassina Yelemou, expressed his deep gratitude to the teachers for their tireless efforts, which led to the excellent end-of-year results. He also paid tribute to the former and new sponsors, the daughters and sons of the commune, as well as to all partners for their involvement in the success of the day.
The president of the special delegation, Asm¨de Dianda, also praised the educational community, partners, and children of the commune for their unwavering support. The representative of the winning students, Marceline Bayili de Tenado C, urged her classmates to be examples and role models for their peers and future generations, as well as future patriotic citizens concerned about the development of their homeland.
The ceremony was marked by the presentation of significant awards: the top ten students in the municipality at CEP 2025 each received a bicycle, a school kit, and an honor roll, thus recognizing their remarkable academic performance. Ten deserving teachers were also honored with certificates of appreciation for their dedication. A special distinction was awarded to teacher Fr. Catherine Sobgo of Tenado C School, who received a motorcycle for achieving a 100% success rate, once again highlighting the direct impact of teaching excellence.
The provincial director of preschool, primary, and non-formal education of Sangui©, Bapian Yo, present at this ceremony, stressed the importance of this event in promoting quality education. Please note that as a prelude to this celebration of excellence, the career discovery day (JDM) took place on Thursday, July 24.
This initiative aimed to offer young students a first glimpse of the various career opportunities available to them. Through well-received presentations, participants were enlightened on the orientation requirements for new high school graduates toward the various university programs in the country. The "Burkina Suudu Bwad¨ - the house of skills" initiative was also presented, highlighting the importance of vocational training for the employability of young people.
Dr. Firmin Bado, through his exemplary career, inspired young people by stating: "Suffering should not be a barrier to success, but a motivation." Inspector Edmond Coulibaly detailed the opportunities in the teaching profession. These discussions were welcomed by the students, who saw them as an opportunity to better understand possible paths for their future, in addition to their academic careers.
