Huambo: The Chair of the Southwest Union of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Pastor Tchindongo Ndjimbo, reaffirmed the group's continued openness to collaborate with the Executive Branch in actions aimed at preserving an environment of peace.
According to Angola Press News Agency, Pastor Ndjimbo made these statements in the context of the 24 years of Peace and National Reconciliation, celebrated on April 4th. He emphasized that the religious institution would maintain permanent cooperation with government authorities in defending and consolidating peace, which is seen as an essential basis for national stability and the strengthening of social values within communities.
The official highlighted that the peace achieved in 2002 brought significant benefits to the social and economic sectors, enabling the country to embark on a path toward stability and sustainable development.
Pastor Ndjimbo assured that the church is committed to collaborating with the Angolan government on programs aimed at moralizing society through the promotion of academic training and the enhancement of ethical and cultural principles, supported by biblical teachings. He emphasized that peace is a divine gift and invited the religious community and others to maintain a close connection with the Divine to promote human reconciliation and forgiveness among individuals.
